The Glow Behind the Brand
Sage & Lune has always been a quiet yearning in the heart of our founder, ever since she became a mother. Life shifted—and so did her purpose. With a doctorate in cancer medicine and a deep commitment to healing, she once set out to change the world through research—until she began to feel the quiet cost of that path. What she needed was a gentler way to make a difference.
It took time to arrive here. Many pivots, twists, and turns. But the intention never changed: to leave a legacy. That legacy now lives not through grand gestures or conquest, but through softness. She no longer wants to conquer anything—only to provide, peacefully and with love, for the ones she holds dear.
People often ask her for advice—how she navigates life with such calm, softness, and clarity. The truth? It’s not always as easy as it looks, and it’s never a simple answer. But the essence of Sage & Lune—this quiet, soft peace—is what carries her through the hard days. It’s the toolkit she turns to. And now, she’s gently unlocking that vault for anyone who feels aligned with this way of being.
She hopes her daughters will feel equipped by her wisdom while she’s here, just as her own mother lovingly equipped her. Everything she creates—each product, every recipe, each word—is offered with that same love. A mother’s love. From simple recipes to evoke island warmth, to moments of mood-lifting calm and cleansing rituals—this is a space to come home to yourself.
She dreamed of Sage & Lune for years—since 2018—and patiently waited for it to take shape. In 2025, it finally came full circle. The name arrived like a soft vision:
Sage, for clarity, grounding, and ritual. Lune, the French word for moon, for reflection and tenderness—the moon that lifts and glows by borrowing the light of the sun. Softly radiant.
Like the moon, we too live in cycles—of change, of pause, of renewal. Sage & Lune is a reminder that growth is not always linear, but circular, and that every phase carries its own kind of beauty.
When she’s not crafting something dreamy for the Sage & Lune community, she’s in her garden, tucked in a quiet café, or somewhere in the Caribbean, drawing inspiration from the slow, soulful rhythm of island life.
She lives what she shares.
She’s an island girl with a soft dream.
The Sage & Lune Difference (Oops, We Did It Differently)
At Sage & Lune, every detail is intentional—crafted with love, care, and a quiet commitment to quality, wellness, and beauty. From cocoa to fragrance, nothing is rushed. Nothing is compromised.
Our Cocoa: Rooted in Ritual, Wrapped in Pleasure
Our founder, Aakila, works directly with cocoa artisans from her hometown in Trinidad—home to some of the finest Trinitario cocoa in the world. Together, they honour traditional practices to produce ceremonial-grade, unrefined cocoa—rich, pure, and filled with integrity.
What makes our cocoa different?
No fillers. No anti-caking agents. No shortcuts.
Only whole, raw ingredients—harvested, prepared, and packaged with intention.
Ethical sourcing and small-batch quality from trusted farmers who take as much pride in the process as we do.
Aakila believes wellness and pleasure deserve to sit at the same table. So she brought together the soul-soothing benefits of ceremonial cocoa with the comforting joy of warm spices. The result? A blend that grounds, nourishes, and delights in equal measure.
Whether it’s something you sip or something you wear, Sage & Lune offers more than a product.
It’s a feeling. A ritual. A return to self.
